Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By installing, accessing, or using any app published by Samurai Labs on the Atlassian Marketplace, you ("Customer", "you", "your") agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you are accepting on behalf of an organisation, you represent that you have the authority to bind that organisation to these Terms.

If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not install or use our apps. Continuing to use an app after updated Terms are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

2. Description of Service

Samurai Labs develops and publishes the following apps ("the Apps") on the Atlassian Marketplace for use with Atlassian Cloud products:

All Apps are built on the Atlassian Forge platform and are accessed exclusively through the Atlassian Marketplace. They require active Atlassian Cloud subscriptions (Jira, Confluence, or Compass, as applicable) to function.

3. License Grant

Subject to your compliance with these Terms and payment of applicable fees, Samurai Labs grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable license to install and use the Apps within your Atlassian Cloud instance, solely for your internal business purposes, during the term of your active Marketplace subscription.

This license does not include the right to: (a) copy, modify, or create derivative works of the Apps; (b) reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Apps; (c) resell, sublicense, or otherwise transfer the Apps to any third party; or (d) remove or alter any proprietary notices within the Apps.

5. Pricing and Payment

Pricing for our Apps is listed on the Atlassian Marketplace. All billing, invoicing, payment collection, and refund processing are handled exclusively by Atlassian Marketplace in accordance with the Atlassian Marketplace Terms and Conditions.

Samurai Labs does not collect, store, or process any payment information. For billing disputes, subscription changes, or refund requests, please contact Atlassian support directly.

6. Free Tier

Some or all of our Apps may offer a free tier with limited functionality or usage quotas. The specific limits of the free tier are described on each app's Marketplace listing page. We reserve the right to modify, reduce, or discontinue the free tier at any time, with reasonable notice provided via the Marketplace listing or this website.

7. Availability and Service Levels

We aim to provide reliable, high-availability service for all our Apps. However, because all Apps run on the Atlassian Forge platform, their availability is inherently dependent on Forge infrastructure uptime and performance.

We do not offer a separate Service Level Agreement (SLA) beyond what Atlassian provides for the Forge platform itself. We will make commercially reasonable efforts to address availability issues within our control, but we cannot guarantee uninterrupted service.

Scheduled maintenance, Atlassian platform incidents, or force majeure events may result in temporary unavailability. We will communicate known outages via our support channel where possible.

8. Intellectual Property

All intellectual property rights in and to the Apps — including source code, design, documentation, trademarks, and the Samurai Labs name and logo — are and remain the exclusive property of Samurai Labs (Krisztian Banhidy). These Terms do not transfer any ownership rights to you.

You retain full ownership of all data you and your users input into or generate through the Apps. We do not claim any rights over your data. See our Privacy Policy for details on how we handle your data.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Samurai Labs and its operator (Krisztian Banhidy) shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or relating to your use of, or inability to use, the Apps — including but not limited to loss of data, loss of revenue, or business interruption.

To the extent permitted by law, our total cumulative liability to you for any claims arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Apps shall not exceed the total fees paid by you (via Atlassian Marketplace) for the specific App in the twelve (12) months immediately preceding the event giving rise to the claim.

10. Warranty Disclaimer

The Apps are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranty of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Samurai Labs expressly disclaims all warranties, whether express, implied, statutory, or otherwise, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement.

We do not warrant that the Apps will be error-free, uninterrupted, secure, or free of viruses or other harmful components, or that any defects will be corrected.

11. Termination

You may stop using any App at any time by uninstalling it from your Atlassian site. Uninstallation automatically terminates your license for that App and, as described in our Privacy Policy, triggers deletion of your associated data.

Samurai Labs may suspend or terminate your access to any App immediately if you materially breach these Terms, if your Atlassian subscription lapses, or if we are required to do so by applicable law or Atlassian's platform policies. We will provide reasonable notice where practicable.

Upon termination, all licenses granted under these Terms cease immediately. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination (including Sections 8, 9, 10, and 12) will do so.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Turkey, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising under or relating to these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Istanbul, Turkey.

If you are a consumer in a jurisdiction that mandates local consumer protection laws, those laws may afford you additional rights that these Terms do not override.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be indicated by an updated "Last updated" date on this page. We will make reasonable efforts to notify you of significant changes through the Atlassian Marketplace listing or our support channel.

Your continued installation and use of any App after updated Terms are posted constitutes your acceptance of those changes. If you do not agree to the revised Terms, you must uninstall the affected Apps.
